Twilight: Los Angeles, 1992

  • This is a work that aims to confront race and class issues head on. Set in Los Angeles, this documentary theatre production features the exact words and experiences of those who experienced the Los Angeles riots.

  • Damn Yankees

  • Location: University Theatre

  • This production features Joe Boyd, a baseball fanatic who trades his soul to the Devil for a chance to lead his favorite team to victory against the New York Yankees. However, Boyd comes to realize the true worth of life he’s left behind on this path to success.

  • Evening of Dance

  • With choreography by Susan Koper and other Indiana choreographers, an Evening of Dance aims to demonstrate the notion of sharing and informing. It depicts the oral history of an African American woman during the desegregation of schools in Little Rock and features work from Doug Verone.

  • Billy the Girl

  • October 17-21 at 7:30, October 21 and 22 at 3:30

  • Location: Cave Theatre

  • Billy is out waiting for love where she last saw it. Her mum is certain love has walked into her life again. Her sister thinks love could still be found somewhere in the house . . . but Billy herself isn't even allowed through the door. In Katie Hims's sweet, stark family elegy, love never dies, but sometimes – like Billy – it has to sleep in the caravan with Frank's ashes and a bear costume. Billy the Girl is a sharp, yet gentle, look at a fractured family dealing with a lifetime of mistrust.

  • Bunkerville

  • This musical takes place in Bunkerville, an underground city, years after a nuclear holocaust. It follows Steve, a self-centered jerk who doesn’t realize it. Tricked by his co-workers to go outside of the bunker, he discovers a wasteland, but one that is oddly bright and beautiful. As his interactions with mutants, Mother Earth cults, and other inhabitants of the new world evolve, Steve discovers new truths about himself, his coworkers and his new surroundings.

  • Kinky Boots

  • From Broadway, Kinky Boots is a hit, full or music and the belief that you can change the world if you change your mind. Inspired by true events, Kinky Boots takes you on a journey from a shoe factory to the catwalks of Milan.

  • Senior Choreography

  • Location: Korsgaard Dance Studio

  • Featuring the work of Senior BFA Dance students, the Senior Choreography projects showcase the artistry and choreography of dance students almost ready to graduate. All the choreography, casting, and concepts has been developed by the Seniors, and this is an opportunity to be recognized as choreographers before they start their professional careers.

  • Shaping Sound

  • Contemporary Dance Company, Shaping Sound, combines dance styles and music to create a show that dazzles. After The Curtain highlights the journey of a man trying to find his voice again after his true love dies.

  • Pride and Prejudice

  • Jane Austen's classic 1813 novel come to life in this refreshing and engaging adaptation. Elizabeth Bennet is single and her four sisters and overzealous match-making mother make it difficult to escape the subject. When finally Elizabeth meets a handsome but enigmatic Mr. Darcy, she is determined not to let her feelings triumph over her good sense. Elizabeth and Darcy may or may not look beyond his pride and her prejudice.

  • The Tall Girls

  • November 7-11 at 7:30, November 11 and 12 at 2:30

  • Location: Cave Theatre

  • The tiny hamlet of Poor Prairie doesn’t see a lot of folks coming into town, least of all men. It’s a place where everybody knows everyone. A man comes into town and the citizens know little about him, except that he’s a teacher and the girl’s basketball coach. The Tall Girls examines issues of class and gender amidst the historic 1930s Dust Bowl.

  • ELF

  • ELF is the hilarious chronicle of Buddy, an orphan who finds his way into Santa’s toy bag one Christmas. After learning about where he came from, ELF takes you along Buddy’s journey to find out who he is and reconnect with a family - who may need him, more than he needs them.

  • It Can Happen Here

  • December 7-9 at 7:30, December 10 at 2:30

  • Location: University Theatre

  • A modern dance concert aimed at responding to the shifting landscapes of politics and purpose. Aimed at addressing the question “Who is welcomed and who is not in today’s landscape?”, It Can Happen Here hopes to build community-seeking resistance, faith and create change.
