1. Recycled Percussion: Hijinx

Claim to fame: Recycled Percussion has been an international phenomenon since 1995. They've performed more than 4500 show in 15 countries. They were Finalists on America's Got Talent, and have appeared on Carson Daly, The Today Show, China's Got Talent, and the Latin Grammy's. The show has been voted National Act of the Year six time, and they've had their own headline show in Las Vegas since 2010.

Current project: Hijinx

Worth repeating: Justin Spencer told icon versus icon: "Recycled Percussion garnered our influences from the New York City subways and the street performers there in the mid-90s. We wanted to take it to another level, so for a high school talent show, thinking it would be a one time show, we performed for the show by stealing some ideas from the New York City subways and brought them to a suburban town. It was something they had never seen before. It was going to be a one time deal and then it was another gig, another gig and that was 18 years ago!"

2. Alison Brown Quartet

Claim to fame: In 2001 after collaborating with Bela Fleck, Brown won the Grammy Award for Best Country Instrumental Performance for her song "Leaving Cottondale" She participated in Alison Krauss's Grammy-winning album I've Got That Old Feeling, and received a Grammy nomination for her own recording, Simple Pleasures

Current project: The Song of the Banjo

Worth repeating: Alison Brown in a interview with NPR in 2015 discussed how The Alison Brown Quartet appears on Mountain Stage, recorded live on the campus of West Virginia University in Morgantown. Brown has been appearing on Mountain Stage for more than 15 years, dating back to her first visit playing banjo alongside Alison Krauss.

3. Hotel California

Claim to fame: After the Eagles became popular and stopped touring in the 80s, Hotel California came out of the woodwork to cover the band’s songs. Sharing stages with The Doobie Brothers, REO Speedwagon and more, Hotel California continues on touring around the world.

Current project: Touring in North America

Worth repeating: Steve Birnstihl at CTA Tributes said this about the band: “For any band to continually exceed such high expectations this deep into their career, and remain at the top of their field for as long as Hotel California have, is a truly remarkable accomplishment. 4. Taylor Kropp

Claim to fame: Taylor Kropp is a singer/songwriter or rose to fame in Nashville, TN and entered the country music world. He's worked alongside some of the most notable country music artists including Tanya Tucker, Sarah Turner, and Josh Dorr. In 2016, some of his guitar work was featured in the popular film "Believe." His newest album, "Coming Up For Air," will be released this month.

Worth repeating: American Blues Scene said this about Taylor Kropp's upcoming solo album: "Sharp, intelligent lyrics, combine with masterful musicianship throughout the entire album."

5. The Simon and Garfunkel Story

Claim to fame: The lives of Paul Simon and Art Garfunkel are explored in this “concert style theatre show.” This show captures the magic of the duo’s music and brings it to the stage with a full live band and updated production equipment.

Current project: Touring around the world

Worth repeating: Alan Cooper of the Portsmouth News says: “A must for fans, an education to the uninitiated, this is a tribute show made with true respect for the music - and the audience."

6. Mandy Harvey

Claim to fame: After losing her residual hearing in 2006-2007, then giving up on her major in Vocal Music Education in attempts to pursue other career avenues, Mandy Harvey returned to music as a performer and has released three albums so far. Harvey won the VSA's Top Young Soloist award in 2011 and has lived out a personal dream of performing at the Kennedy Center in DC. She now continues to perform across the country and has been featured on such publications as NBC Nights News, Canada AM, The Steve Harvey Show, and the Los Angeles Times.

Current project: Being a contestant on season 12 of America's Got Talent

Worth repeating: After performing an original song on America's Got Talent a few weeks ago, a reporter for USA Today included some quotes from some of the judges, like Heidi Klum saying is was "raw" and "real", Mel B saying that Harvey made "the impossible possible" and Simon Cowell stating "Your music says it all."

7. Crowder

Claim to fame: A three time Grammy nominee. Crowder’s first album “Neon Staples,” debuted at No.8 on the Billboard 200. It’s been named iTunes 2014 Christian Album of the Year. It laid fame to multiple radio hits, two Grammy nominations, a Grand Ole Opry debut, a Dove award, and lots of K-LOVE Fan Award Nominations. His follow-up album“American Prodigal,” hit No. 1 on the Christian & Gospel Album Chart, and No. 12 on the Top 200 Billboard Chart.

Worth repeating: Crowder talking to Worship Together about writing songs for corporate worship and artistic appeal: “It really is all the same to me. I have the sense and awareness to know when a song will fit more ubiquitously than others, but I have what I do framed in a moment that I reference again and again.”

8. Bria Skonberg

Claim to fame: Released her debut Album BRIA in 2016. Won the 2017 Canadian Juno Award from “Vocal Jazz Album” of the year.

9. Justin Moore: Hell on a highway tour with Dylan Scott

Claim to fame: Moore is signed with Big Machine Records. In 2008 he opened for Trace Adkins, Luke Bryan, Brooks & Dunn, ZZ Top, and the Rowdy Frynds Tour with Lynyrd Skynyrd and Hank Williams, Jr. His first single was "Back That Thing Up was released later in 2008 and made it onto the country Top 40 charts. His second single "Small Town USA," topped the charts in '09 and paved the way for his self-titled debut, Justin Moore. He's now on his fourth studio album Kinda Don't Care, which had earned him his third consecutive No.1 album debut. It has his chart topping singles "You Look Like I Need A Drink" and "Somebody Else Will".

Worth repeating: Justin Moore talking with the Boot about "You Look Like I Need A Drink,": "It was nothing at all like I expected it to be. I thought it would be some tongue-in-cheek, humorous thing that Blake Shelton would say to somebody. I like when songs surprise me like that. I thought it was so unique, and it’s totally “me” as far as the musicality of it and the vibe and the feel of it. I’ve never heard a breakup song done that way, and so we decided to put it out as a single, because we had been off the radio with new music for 6-8 months."

10. The Revelers

Claim to fame: The Revelers are made up of the founding members of the Red Stick Ramblers and The Pine Leaf Boys joined together to form a Louisiana supergroup. As individuals, they have performed and recorded with T-Bone Burnett, Natalie Merchant, Linda Ronstadt, Preston Frank, Walter Mouton, Mamadou Diabate, the Duhks, Cedric Watson, and Tim O’Brien, and that’s only a few. As a group they appeared in the 2011 season finale of Anthony Bourdain’s No Reservations, and were handpicked by David Simon to be featured musicians on the 3rd and 4th season of HBO’s Treme

Current project: Get Ready

Worth repeating: Member Chas Justus talking to The Arts Fuse about writing a good swamp pop song: “Probably simplicity. It’s like writing a good rock ‘n roll song. Most swamp pop songs aren’t particularly labored over. It’s from the gut and from the heart. There aren’t a lot of swamp pop songs about politics or existential exploration.”
