October 5
First Thursday Art
Join the Gallery Walk downtown on the first Thursday of each month. It runs from 5-8 p.m. Artists include Book Arts Collaborative, Cornerstone Center for the Arts, The Atrium Gallery, Made in Muncie and many more!

ArtsWalk
ArtsWalk 2017 is hosted by Muncie Downtown Development Partnership in partnership with Muncie Arts and Culture Council and Ball State University’s Departments of Fine Art and Music from 5-9 p.m. There will be art, food and live performances.
Fall Muncie YART
Muncie’s Yard Sale for Art is downtown Muncie from 5-9 p.m. All art is under $40, and artists will be creating live art.
October 7
Witches Night Out
A Fall Festival is being held at Two Friends Boutique, 9204 W. Smith St., Yorktown, IN. There will be handmade vendors, a craft booth and food hosted by Once Upon a Plate. Dressing up as a witch is encouraged, and will even offer a discount.
October 11
Wine, Dine & Unwind
This annual women’s expo will take place at the Horizon Convention Center from 5:30-8:30 p.m. The event raises money for IU Health BMH Cancer Center Boutique, an organization that raises money for local cancer patients. You can purchase general admission or VIP tickets from The Star Press.
October 13
Loot or Lantern?
Madjax is hosting a Halloween print night. For $50 participants can create 3 custom trick-or-treat bags, or up to 8 custom luminaria bags. Tribune Showprint Poster is providing Halloween and fall themed designs, and Book Arts Collaborative is ensuring that every participant will be proud of what they create.

My Fair Lady
Muncie Civic Mainstage Theater presents the play, My Fair Lady. It opens on October 13 at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $18 for adults, $15 for groups of 10+, and $13 for students and children.

Muncie Symphony Orchestra: Classics 2: Bach and Schubert
The concert is held at Pruis Hall at Ball State University, from 7:30-9 p.m. There will be a pre-concert talk at 6:30 p.m.

Wine & Canvas
Muncie Elks is hosting Wine & Canvas from 6:30-8:30 p.m. The cost is $25 and includes painting supplies. Wine must be purchased through Muncie Elks. There are 35 spots, and reservations can be made in the office or by calling Staci Filkovski at 760-8312.

ARTRAGEOUS
This interactive art and music experience is performed by the “All and Everything Theater,” a theater group based out of Vancouver, Canada. They focus on street theater, children’s entertainment and life-sized puppets.
October 21
Hot Shop Glass: Pumpkins
Minnetrista is hosting a two-day workshop at Marilyn K. Glick Center for Glass to create fall pumpkins. The event beings at 9 a.m. and ends at 3 p.m. and hopes to give the community a one-of-a-kind experience. Space is limited and reservations must be made prior to October 19. The cost is $150 per person.
Dogtoberfest
The Muncie Police Department is hosting a fundraiser for their K-9 unit. From 2-6 p.m. the community can come to Cannan Commons Downtown and enjoy food, dog games, pup merchandise and vendors, and live entertainment. Tickets cost $25 for one owner and one dog, and are $5 more per dog. Attendees can even dress up their dogs for a costume contest.
October 26
Cornerstone’s Community Halloween Party
From 4-6 p.m. families are welcome to celebrate Halloween with Cornerstone at their free Halloween Party. Costumes are encouraged and there will be games, treats and prizes. Scarevania will also be open, a haunted house that costs $1 to enter.

October 30
The Gravedigger’s Tale: A Ghost Story Circle
From 7:30-8:30 meet inside the grounds of Beech Grove cemetery for an after-dark ghost story event. Listen to local history and get spooked.
